I saw a bright yellow 2003 Z06 Corvette that had the word "Supercharged" embossed above the Z06 emblem and "700hp" embossed below the Z06 emblem. The exhaust system made the car sound mean (and very loud, even at idle). That particular Z06 model is 405hp, right? It seems the 700hp rating might be alittle exaggerated that was advertised on the fender, even if it was supercharged. I'll buy maybe a 100hp increase over stock with a supercharger, but 300hp? I'm alittle skeptical. I watched him accelerate from the light, he obviously wasnt flooring the gas pedal, so it was really impossible to tell. The car had factory rims and the exhaust was changed to twin "megaphone" tips. Anyone seeing anything similar?

700 is believable. ive been to lots of strickly corvette shows. did it say lpe anyware? if it did then an easy 700hp.

agreed. just because it says supercharged and 700hp written on the side doesnt mean those are the only things it's got. you dont expect him to put his entire mod list on the side of his car, do you? cam specs and all? if he's runnin a blower, he could be runnin ported and polished everything, headers, forged internals, and he almost definetly has an aftermarket cam. i have no doubts he's putting down 700 hp. we've got one around here NA runnin 495 rwhp with a cam, intake, headers and full exhaust. you can do amazing things with money.

But yes, it is believable considering you don't know the exent of the other mods. I bet a supercharged/bolt on/header Z06 would easily make 700hp.

That would make sense that he wouldnt stop at just adding a Supercharger to his Z06. I just get a little skeptical of the guy that "advertises" the horsepower in 3M pinstripe-type vinyl tape. Sort of like if encounters a Dodge Viper or something on the street, the Viper owner is going to look at the number, "whoa, I aint going to mess with him."
At the same rate, I guess the Z06 driver can't drive around town with his Dyno performance sheet plastered on the back window as proof. Please don't get me wrong, the car sounded like a race car, but with Megs exhaust tips, any engine displacing more than 5 litres will sound that way.

well i know the lingenfleter twin turbo kit puts the z06 up to 650hp?

400hp + 202hp= 600hp and that's only 50% of the usual 60-70% gains found on cars.
Plus he obviously had exhaust, intake, and cam work! Just going by the description and what corvette owners usually do.

wow i shoulda finished. i got owned lol.
i ment 50% hp on average cars. thats where the 600hp came from. vettes run 10:1 and the new ones are 11:1. so power can climb pretty quickly. plus depending on what size pulley hes running, or if hes running stock heads.
i was watchign the speed channel today and saw a turbo z06. put down 600whp on 6psi
