Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., the maker of Subaru automobiles, has agreed with Toyota Motor Corp. to manufacture Toyota cars at a plant in Indiana.
Fuji will produce 100,000 Camry sedans annually at a factory operated by Fuji's wholly owned subsidiary, Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc., as early as 2007.
Fuji just ended a five-year relationship with General Motors after GM sold its 20 percent stake in the Japanese company. Toyota then bought an 8.7 percent share of Fuji.
