yea saw it on TLC or some tv channel like that had a whole thing about the truck and they rebuilt the engines like several times a year and stuff like that.

First the M5 vs. F1 car and now this video, I can't decide which is cooler! The cool thing about this truck is instead of burning Avgas the truck is burning diesel.
One more piece of geek info, the exhaust temperature from those jet engines might be a bit cooler then if they were burning kerosene instead of diesel, but they are still in the high hundreds of degrees Celsius and could ignite unburnt fuel that could be "dumped" if they were used in an actual jet. The thing that blows me away is that truck has afterburners and is not just wasting fuel but increasing his thrust ratio big time every-time you see flames shooting out of those engines.
The Australian Air Force displays a move at air shows called the dump and burn where fuel is just simply drained from the tanks and expelled out the rear of the
F-111G jet and that photo gives you an idea how hot that crap is coming out of the back of one of those engines if its burning fuel thats being expelled at a speed of over 300/mph.
G'dammit I want a jet powered semi!!
I've seen it a few times at different air shows. Its pretty cool when he races an old wwII fighter plane. He wins and the plane has a flying start.
