My brother in law has a 03 Sentra SE and swears that it has a 1.6L in it. I am trying to get him an intake for his birthday and cannot find one for the 1.6L. Did these even come with anything other than a 2.0? Is he smoking crack again?

The 2003 Sentra came with either a 1.8L or 2.5L 4 cylinder. The SE-R, LE, and SE-R Spec-V models came with the 2.5L, while the rest had the 1.8L.

So chances are your brother in law's car has the 1.8L, even though I don't think there was an "SE" trim line for 2003. Perhaps it is an XE or SE-R, you'd have to find out though so you can buy the right intake.

My roommate got a 2005 sentra, he was told that you can't put an intake on the newer sentras because they wont function correctly, is this true???

No its not. My friend has an 05 1.8S and has an intake on it. He said his gas mileage went up. (Its got that digital deal in there to tell the gas mileage you're getting)
