Ok, so 390hp in a 3600lb car vs. 500 in a 3100lb car. Is anybody surprised?

The vette didn't sound stock either.

the vette is stock there is no after market exhaust for a new Z06 yet.

Have a friend at work that just got one and above 3500 Rpm the exhaust changes paths thur the muffler.

At low revs, all the exhaust goes through a single well-muffled tailpipe in each muffler. When you stomp on the throttle and exceed 3500 rpm, however, vacuum-powered bypasses open up a second, virtually straight-through tailpipe in each muffler.

So it does change from some what quite to loud but at 71K price tag
