yeah that yellow will look tight as hell
PPPSSSS!!!! MMMMMmmmMMM boost=yummy
I know a guy with a yellow one. Definately a good color choice.
Sucks that your bagging it and putting a duramax diesel in it. I have a things for pre 60's cars and trucks and feel they should be modified as they were back then. Oh well, have fun with it.
Thats gonna be real nice once it's painted.
Besides yellow, how about a Dark Blue colour?
Well I know its not quite the right palce but does anyone know waht a 1953 International R-110 pick up would be worth? its got surface rust but all good glass and it might even run. Just wondering I would like to get rid of it for my turbo kit.
Thanx Charles
Something like that is only worth what someone will pay for it.

dang thats gonna be really nice man. ive got a '59 apache stakebed. not really custom....yet. did you reinforce the frame for the diesel, those motors way a ton. anyways thats going to be a great lookin truck when finished they look great layed out too! you dont know where to get a stepside bed like what you have do you?
The frame isnt reinforced yet...thats the next step in this project. I will be boxing the entire thing and triangulating it as much as possible. There are a few places I imagine to get the bed from. One good place to get parts is Chevy Duty at
http://www.chevyduty.com/store/ You can buy the bed pieces individually...not cheap but when you consider how much work goes into restoring a rusted dented old bed it looks pretty good. I probably will end up replacing most of the bed with new panels on mine.
The weight is definitely going to be an issue to sort out in order to make this thing handle. I was going to put a LSX in it but I just had to be different...besides almost 800 lb/ft from a motor with no bottom end work sounds almost too good to be true. That much torque is going to need a serious drivetrain and a tough frame...the frame stock is pathetic...two C channels with 4 crossmembers if I remember right....not too impressive. That will all change here pretty soon

thatnks alot for the links. get ahold of bully dog or banks for diesel performance, i think they both offer transmissions for the duramax and they will be able to help you out in all your questions. probably get you some more horsepower aswell. i used to work for a disrtibutor of bully dog they are great people. my moms 02 duramax now has about 400 horse and 1000 ft ibls
Why would you put a deisel in there?
sound like my friend who wants to put a oldsmobile 403 in his show quality 55' chev because he loves oldsmobile...
Whats a Cavalier?
