okey i found a 95 neon for a beater for the winter but it has a head gasket that is going. The only other thing wrong with it is the speedo sensor doesn't work all the time so i would have to get that replaced. Some rust, and it has about 180,XXX on it? Good deal or what?
anything that runs or is close is worth 500-800 dollars.

go for it...beater is a beater. make it run good enough to not leave you hangin on the side of the road. and like mikec said, headgaskets are easy.
GO PATS!!!
as loong as you can fix it urself
My neon was good in the snow, and the heat was really good, so that's my input. Buy it
if its a sohc neon, headgasket is a dead easy job....a little harder on the dohc but not too bad there either

well all i know is it's a 95 2.0 engine, not sure about the cams. I found a head gasket on ebay for the neon for $88 shipped. Think that's good for a head gasket or what?
Also, if i buy this car, should i go and have all the fluids changed, or what recommandations do you guys think?
i would go buy a gasket set from a local auto parts store its about 150 bucks and it comes with everything like gasket seal and intake gasket and @!#$ like that i do believe you will need to replace the intake gasket if you do the head gasket cause if you dont then it will make the whole job worthless
just my .02
PPPSSSS!!!! MMMMMmmmMMM boost=yummy
250 for a neon is pretty good. And if you don't like it you can part it out for more than that.
