Used Car Sales - Is this illegal?

Isn't it a federal law to unplug and/or sell a car w/o a working air bag light?? This isn't on my J, of course. My wife's new Hyundai, just noticed, doesnt have a working air bag light. Damn, I told her she shoulda gotten the 02 Cavy LS. Women....

I tried, it's like pulling teeth. Even w/the extended warranty, it's not getting done.

Sappy, if its basically off the lot, they ought to, it'll take 30 mins, and about $2.50 worth of parts.

Don't bother with a service advisor, go right to the service manager.

Oh that is a real nice way to talk to the moderators, I'm sure they will love to see that written about them. If you posted in the right place in the first place it wouldn't get moved. Look on the bright side, at least they didn't delete it at all.

AS far as your problem, it should be able to get covered under warranty, unless your extecnded warranty has some sort of guidlines and only covers certain components, but if ti is factory, than yeah, they should have to fix it. that is otherwise if they don't help you at all, considering that an air bag light does serve a purpose. Otherwise why the hell would there be one.

my friend has had the same problems with his hyundai......their so called great warranty doesnt cover anything

they wouldnt even fix his check engine light, or even see what code it was throwing for that matter....i was like wtf it's still under bumper to bumper how are they gonna tell you no? That's why id never buy a hyundai

anyway if the airbags don't work then they should deffintly have to fix all that, if it's just the light then they really don't have to if it's not under bumper to bumper.....if it's still under the bumper to bumper then they should deffintly be fixing it
