I'm just messin w/ yah. The z06 is a 70K racecar. The amg cl65 is a 180k luxury car that happens to have 604hp and 738 ft/lbs of tq. Definetly 2 different markets. Now if I could only afford either

the nsx engine is far more complicated than the LS1 in the vette that cost 1/2 the price

Don't act like you aren't aware of what I'm talking about, you're one of the people that contributes to the argument. Yes the CL65 is considerably more than the Corvette but once again, I doubt somebody purchasing that car cares how close a race against a Corvette is going to be.

what does an nsx being slower for 2x the $$$ have to do with anything
and i doubt most purchases will care but some will. And im sure that a zo6 purchaser will care. Some headers and I bet the outcome would have been different.

and i fail to see how a car that is built for performance costing 2x the other and slower is worth the metal its made of

The website said the Merc had a reflash and 3in exhaust, which might not do much, but doesnt mean stock for stock the Z06 might be more of an even opponent.
I'll tell ya what I'm going to compare the Z06 too . . . . . the CL65 AMG
Sappy, are we talking about price or engines? I was refering to Borsty's comment about the engines from his post stating the Mercedes V12 tt could barely outrun the V8 which seemed "pretty sad". And that's what the NSX people say about the 5.7L V8 when comparing it with their 3.2L V6. I made no mention of price.

One weighs in at 4500lbs while the other weighs in at 3150lbs. While neither one has the right to be titled "slow" the sumo sized CL65 is impressive and yes, I know very full and well the power rating over the C6 Z06.
Now if the C6 Z06 was Twin Turboed too, the AMG would be playing a different tune.
