I am thinking of getting a Cadilac CTS. Does anyone have an opinion on it? Theres something about them that I love!
Id be looking at like an 04-05 in black with a manual tranny.
The other cars I'm looking at are:
Lincoln LS, 2002 5spd manual
Chrysler 300C, 2005, not the biggest fan though because it only comes in auto
Dodge Magnum, same deal as the 300
Now I'm 21, and just want something nicer and bigger then my Cavalier. I want somethign that I can put big chromies on and thats it

What I meant to ask is what are your opinions on those cars? Especially the CTS because I jsut love them. I wish I could get the V but theres no chance. So a black CTS with black tints and 20s is what I really want.
opinions?

I find the car very good looking. Unique.
3.2l motor is a little flaccid. I'm sure the 2.8 to be even less inspiring. 3.6 Might make enough power. I haven't driven that one. Toyota cylinder head. Hmm.
It's a heavy car. So the only one I would get is the V. I have not looked on Auto trader these days. I bet they are getting pretty cheap. Soon maybe. The lesser models ride very nicely. A set of Eibach springs and a set of sway bars make them handle wonderfully. Shocks are going to be steep. Just not enough power for me.
I like the V because it really can be made into an unbelievable car.
if i had the money i would get a 300C in white or black so i pick the 300c but i do like the CTS
im looking at a CTS as well right now. MY grandpa has one and let me tell ya....i love them. IM 6'4 though and i cannot sit in the pass seat with the seat all the way back becase of the dash design.
They drive beautifully
The CTS is deff a car I'd love to get. I'd say jump on it.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
ive always been a fan of the new 300c's. lol this is funny because of the next car i get, its either a 300c or a cts. nothing more sexier than a white 300c on 22's w/ a bently grille. pure tits imo.
I personally really like the look of the CTS. I have no idea how they are has far as mechanically but I like the styling.
Out of that list though, I think I would take the Magnum. Those things are just mean looking, especially the black ones with black tint.
Have a good one,
Justin
I drove a Cadillac CTS with the 3.6 Litre V-6 and it was a blast. It accelerated and sounded like a small V-8. The gas mileage was very livable (the computer readout was showing 21 mpg when I had it floored). The engine feels stronger that the 255hp rating. It handled fantastic around corners too. Very little body lean for such a "tall" car. My only beef with the car is the styling. The angular styling and cab forward design makes the standard 17" rims look too small (and the wheel well gap too large) for the car. The 18" wheels look better, but still doesnt quite do it for me. Also, the CTS only looks formidable in black, gun metal, or dark blue. All the other car colors seem to make it look very pedestrian. I think Cadillac needs to flatten out the body shape alittle so that the angular styling is better purportioned. I know they are trying to maximize rear headroom with the high roof line, but geez, widen the car by a couple of inches to compensate. Well, that's my 2 cents.

I love the CTS.
If you want something new and exciting to put 20s on, you could get the new charger, and save a pretty penny. It's RWD but unfortunately no option for manual. It is on the same platform as the magnum and 300c but looks way better.

"Now I'm 21,"
this was my favorite part
if your looking at a 04 or 05 cts, why are you looking at only a 02 ls??
i have driven both, and personaly perfer the lincoln, that just me they are both very nice cars
but my fat ass likes the air condioned seats, in the lincoln better
no opionon on the 300 c or regular 300 have never driven it, but it is a awesome looking car
PLEASE GET THE CTS-V.
YOU WON'T BE SORRY.
Upon introduction, the CTS-V is equipped with a standard 5.7-liter, V8, 400-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard

Dude, if you cannot afford the v, get the CTS, QUick car, looks amazing. But everyone else...already said that.
Do I really need a signature?
What's your price range? I found quite a few CTS V's for $38K and under american. I would personally love the CTS V.....
The cts would be awesome. But remember ... the insurance company loves kids that drive expensive cars (even though you only paid 20k for it, but a cadillac is a cadillac)
dan
My momma told me I was cool = )
hmm
v6 caddy or v8 gto...
im sure you will make the right decision
although i do love the looks of the cts as well
btw the new cts-v will have the ls2
other cars, better cars?
i dorve my friends mom CTS when they first came out and loved it. Ive never driven a CTS-V but what i would give to drive one lol.
"Custom cars, custom problems."-me
i know there are a few people that have gto's and cts-vs on LS1gto.com
other cars, better cars?
i wanted one, but honestly didn't feel like taking payments for this sunburst orange one i found.....
i love em, but they are $$ for a 19 y/o in college like myself, so i stuck w/ a cavi
I love the 300's . Bomb Ass cars. Very nice to ride in
Of all those cars you listed, the CTS is definitely my favourite. I really like them.
I really like those DC cars as well though.
Please don't get the LS. Please don't get the LS. Please don't get the LS!!!
The reason that I am looking at an 02 LS is ebcause that is the last year they came in stick. I definatly want stick. Thats why teh Magnum and the 300c are losing this battle. I love em, but I dont want auto.
It seems that everyone pretty much likes the CTS. Ive driven one, I dont know what engine it had though. It was quick, not super fast but quick. Id get the V but I know my insurance woudl be through the roof with it, and... well... Id rather spend less then taht much more. If I were going to the price range of the V I'd get something complteley different.
And if I got one, it would be black, black windows, dropped on 20s.
And jsut to add, I'm also tall, 6"2, I drove them all just fine. And whats so funny about "Now I'm 21"
