05 goats kick ass, plain and simple. I was amazed when I drove one for a week or so, such an incredible powerplant the LS2 is, smooth powerband and gobs of torque. If only I could afford one.
Damn those are some awesome numbers!! I didn't really search the post but the sts turbo kit is the rear mounted turbo kit right? Even more impressive. What was the mention of running methanol too? Is that included with the kit or something?
Wonder how long that would stay together? Though he'll turn it down quite a bit for D/D. Gm should throw a LS2 in the saturn sky for @!#$s an giggles.
I have already heard of a company toying with the LS2 in a Solstice.
STS is the rear mounted turbo. Love them or hate them, they make the power.
LS2 is a great motor, with lots of potential.

Some blinker fluid and a couple muffler bearings.
What's an LS2??
................Which car will hit 400 whp first???................
Its probably something that comes after LS1 and before LS7.
Very nice numbers.
aww my very own post how thoughtful!
I posted in the other thread sappy check it out i think it'll clarify a little bit
^^^
i just read that and made some points

LS2 only makes about 30 RWHP more than the LS1 in stock trim.

That is the official GM ratings.
I am talking about actual RWHP numbers.
LS2 tends to make about 340-345 RWHP.
LS1 tends to make about 305-315 RWHP.
I have personally seen a couple STOCK LS1 cars dyno at 325 RWHP. I am yet to see a stock LS2 dyno over 350 RWHP.
Of course the torque is slightly higher of a difference...the added cubes do that for it.
Personally, I would take an LS6 over the LS2. Of course....that would be depending on prices.

2002 - 2004 Z06 (LS6 for those who don't know) are bit faster than C6 LS2 Vettes and much faster than 2005 LS2 GTOs.

i did 321 stock. i have SEEN an ls2 6 speed dyno 330 wheel. and of course i have owned a few modified ones. i now dyno 345/360 and man handled an ls2 topend with headers, mid pipe (Its a y i do believe) and intake (basically same mods as me).

LS2 didnt have a tune, did it?
other cars, better cars?
A tune wouldn't be stock now would it?
EIther way....no sense in arguing about it. Any of the LSx motors are very impressive.
Hell, my 1999 LS1 made 376.8 RWHP with a decent cam and no tune. Stock throttle body, stock pulley, LS6 intake, lid, headers, and catback.
