i have no clue all the ford cars looked the same at that point in time except for the stang

Its a 1998 Ford Taurus SHO.
3.4L 32V V8 - Less then 20 000 produced between 96-99.

thats all they made, they didnt make that many svt lightnings, cobras or focuses either

ahhh, gotta love the SHO's
i had a 95. much better engine as far as i have read and much better body style
god did i love that car, certainly was a hell of a lot better than my cavalier

i almost got a silver 99 with black leather and all the works
but it had almost 100,000 miles on it at the time (2 years ago)
i still wanted it but ended up with the cav

I'd love to get one of those 3rd gen SHOs, I personally think they are the best looking SHOs ever made. It's too bad that those SHOs were such a threat to the Mustang of the time that Ford had to mate it to such a horrible tranny, imagine if the 1st and 2nd gen 5-speed had been mated to that V-8, it would have been a screamer

in comparison how is the older SHOs performance to the new SHO? engine output etc.

as far as i know the older SHO's (early 90's 5 speed only) are the fastest out their

the 3.4 yamaha motor is a slow piece of junk compared to the older shos.

lol....the 3.4 v8 is not a yamaha motor....the 3.0 mtx or 3.2 atx v6 from the previous generation is the yamaha motor...you are sort of half right....the 3.4 v8 shos are slower compared to the older yamaha powered sho's....mainly because of weight though.

and as far as i know, the v8 SHO's run about 15.5's. i'm not sure of the v6's, but i'd imagine they are pretty close to that (if someone can confirm this, it'd be appreciated)
