Been a while guys, but I've been very busy lately and just now got home from a 3 week vacation... to the hospital. On to the pics.

Of course pics don't do it justice. I'm just tryin to stay sarcastic and have a bit of humor. I'm actually VERY lucky. I fractured my C4 and C5 vertabrae. Bruised my lungs and have a blood clot in one of my arteries going through my spine. Everything is going great though. Sad to see the Cavi go out this way, but it's just a car. Just thought I'd let you guys know why I've been MIA for a while.
As for what happened. I was coming home from work Thursday the 7th and was about two miles from home when I nodded off and went off into a ditch. Hit a colbert (driveway that goes across the ditch) and ended up rolling the car 2 or 3 times. Don't remember any of it except waking up sliding in the ditch, then waking up in the ambulance 45 minutes later.

Glad you're ok man, that's what's important. sounds like a pretty intense crash. somebody was looking out for you that night for you to be alive. Good luck with whatever you end up with next, and glad to see you back.
It seems no matter the severity of the accident, you just have to either A) pick up your WingsWest bumper off the road somewhere or B) remove it from the mangled car then and it and repaint it and everything's cherry. I can't believe it survived that.. WingsWest should get a damn cookie for that, and so should you so you can be happy.

another thing that sucks is that YOU are the one I was referring to in a post where a guy asked suggestions on how to paint his SS hood.... when i said "my favorite car on the org".... i hate to see it like that, but considering the injuries, it could have been a lot worse, and you can feel lucky you are alive and well.. sorta ok. good to sere u have some humor about the situation, good luck with the recovery and keep us posted on what ur next vehicle will be!

My friend I am very happy to hear that you are well and that this unfortunate accident did not result in any permanent injury, or worse. I am also very sorry to hear about your car. Trust me when I say I know exactly how this feels. I too once had a bright red GM supercharged Z that I absolutely adored. I too lost that Z in an accident. I was very fortunate, however, as I was able to "walk" away without a scratch. It was a difficult journey but within 1 year I had an almost identical car, plus a few extras. I wish you the best with your new automotive venture and am again glad to see that you are healthy and well.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. As for what I'll be driving next...no clue. I've got 3 months to decide on that. I wouldn't mind to find a junker 2.4 that has a decent body and throwing my engine and M45 into it as the engine and charger weren't damaged badly, if at all. If not, then I will be parting out all the salvagalbe parts. The tails look like they survived along with the rear valance. I believe one of the skirts got messed up pretty good and the passenger side of the Big Mouth has a big gash in it...so not sure how hard that will be to repair, but it did hold up pretty steady. Thanks again guys for all your thoughts. I'm stuck wearing this until March it looks like though.

I'm not sure how bad the skirts and bumper really are. I've just seen the pictures. The car will be getting delivered to the house in a few weeks and I'll snap some more shots and check out the damage.
