well at about 10 pm last night i was driving down the highway when i saw what i thought to be steam comming from under my hood.. so i pull over and lif the hood and BAM hit with a wall of fire.. no time to do anything, not even a minute later the whole thing was engulfed in flames..
i have no idea what happened, i'm just glad to be ok ( thanks goes out to my mom, my sister and a very good friend for comming out and keeping my head on for me )

Wow...that is pretty bad. And you know what is sad (since I already told ya I was glad that you're OK, I can say this)...I was thinking, "Man, at least the rims weren't on at the time..." That's what I thought when I wrecked my car, too. I'm screwed up in the head.

no i though about that too after i got out of at least i'm not dead mode..
rims were off for winter, and i had just taken my $550 cue stick out
but i did loose some other things that prob shouldnt have been in the car.. looking at over 5k in stuff that wont be covered..
as for what happened i really think it was fuel related cause it went from smoke to fully engulfed in less than a minute

I had the same thing happen....freakin' digital camera, portable cd player, new leather coat, luggage set, all kinds of stuff. Not to mention A LOT of cd's that went floating down the creek.
Needless to say, I don't keep those things in the car unnessecarily now....
