I have found signal at PCM or from harness by engine cover. But the closet comparison to stock tach is 1000 rpm high. Any help?

I have gotten the RPM signal from the pink wire on the IDI cover, and currently getting it from a empty pin on the ECU. If you search the forum I belive I have a post asking about this some years back and the exact pin was given.
