I am looking for some advice on what size rear tires to run on my 1995 Cavy automatic for dirt track racing? Also, I was told to run a balder tire on the right rear and some told me not to as far as that goes. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i run a 99 sunfire gt on a half mile dirt track and i run 195/60/14's on the rear i tried the bald tire thing and didnt like it the rear was to squirrly and slowed me down so i put the good tire back on remember 4 tires are better then 2 and i run 195/70/14's on the front i run in 3rd and let the trans shift it goes to second in the corner and hit 3rd about 3/4's down the straights and that is where i seem to be faster because everyone else is past the powerband or on the rev limiter going into the corner

Ah, a 60 series. I run a 60 series up front and ran the 195/70/14 on the rear. Will try and find a 60 series for the rear from the junk yard. Thank you for your response.
