Does anybody have a good solution to fix the weak rear hub problem on the Cavaliers/Sunfires? I have heard of people using Caravan hubs but do not know what model years will fit. It would be very nice to find something that is strong and that the bearings can be replaced on.
If you have any ideas I would love to hear them.
Thanks!
Ron
we've been putting hubs off of a 89-94 caravan, with 5by100 bolt pattern, have to ream out two upper bolts and drill holes for the two lower holes, use grade 8 3/8 bolts to put it together, u will have to cut and flare a custom brake line cause caravans have different thread line
There are a lot of posts about this but in a nutshell, use a hub from the rear of an early 90's caravan.

can't just change the hub and leave the brake lines alone?
why not just replace the whole hub assembly?? i did a front one cause the bearing was shot...took 30 minutes and costed like 40 dollars, quick and simple.
