Well I took my cav out to the 1/8 mile today and i was wondering if my times are good for my mods. 2003 Ls Sport Coupe 5 Speed RK Sport 4-2-1 Header, AEM CAI, 2.25" cat back After market rims w/ 215 45 17's
1st run
R/T........1.139
60'..........2.314
330........6.645
1/8.........10.184
MPH.......69.63
2nd run
R/T........8.99
60'.........2.326
330.......6.609
1/8.........10.154
MPH.......69.80
thats alittle slow should be in the mid-high 9 second range in the 1/8 mile. practise will get you there
i've never seen a 9 sec. r/t before! but like said above that's a little slow. that translates to about a high 15 1/4 time. your 60' times are not terrible, but still pretty slow. practice launching and try to get that around a 2.1x or so. I would expect that car to pull mid 9s with a good driver.

All stock...........lol.
That is exactly where you should be. Breaking into the 9's in the 1/8th consistently with your current setup is not likely.

It took nitrous to get me into the 9's in the 1/8,2.1 60ft., and a low 15 sec. 1/4,but then again I had a 3200lb. car

I got my car into the 9's in the 1/8th mile with about those same mods
Mine is probably lighter but it's also an automatic.

Yeah it was my first time taking this car to the track. I was getting massive wheel hop which i think contributed to my times. Do you guys think the RK sport motor mounts will eliminate most if not all of the wheel hop? I also heard a smaller rim with a thicker side wall might help? I guess know i have something to shoot for..... break into the 9's!
RK,TTR,Atomic, any mounts will help as well as lighter rim/tire combos.I was running with 16' alum rims(still heavy) and way too big tires,225/50's.What rpm were you taking off in?

I ran similar times at irwindale. With an intake and catback I ran Usually 10.1's 10.2's
I was dumping the clutch at around 2,500 rpms.
That's one of the problems right there, don't dump it,ease into it

i think you can get into the 9s right now
take some weight like spare tire and jack, the rear and frnot passenger seat, and your speaker box if you have one. air up the rear tires to about 40 psi, air the fronts down to maybe 25-28 psi. i wouldnt go much below 25 psi. that could hurt more than help and go practice more that can make all the difference
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
the stock eco i had in my 00 GT ran 9.8@72mph consistantly....... but i had Drag Radials i guess and launched around 3500 rpn. 2.0 60's are your friend
I cant remember what the skwirl was with the stock eco (right after the swap) but I'm pretty sure i was running 9.4s (I think)
after putting the patriot head on I was hitting 8.9s
Looks slow in the 1/8, but those 17s ain't helping

LOL...you always have some negative comment about other people racing.
Many of us here have less mods than this guy and run mid 9's consistently.
To the OP: If you have your stock wheels and tires, put them back on and with a little practice you should be around 9.5 - 9.7. Good starting times tho if your not a frequent drag racer.

Agreed. Those are about the times I ran, and I have more mods than you. You're in good shape just get stock/ligher wheels on and practice...
