i didnt race him at the track but i did on a marked 1/4mile strip behind briggs and stratton. and i won by 11/2 car lenghts. dont those things make like 175hp stock and a 2.2eco makes like 145hp tock right??

One day you will come to realize that beating some car by x number of car lenghts on the street does not mean @!#$. The only thing we care about is the 1/4 mile time you run at the strip. It is the only even remotely close way to gauge how fast your car is.

why the hell would it need to be trailered? With that extensive mods list of yours I would not be worried about breaking something ..

I'm a poor white guy and I somehow managed to make over 200 passes in 2006 and 150 in 2005. This is just another example of how @!#$ lazy you are.

I used to think racing on the streets was a proving ground. I was sooooo wrong. Look up the schecuale for your local track. They likely have test n tune sesions almost weekly. You can run a completly stock car if you want. Get who ever drives the s10 that you think you need to beat to prove something to go to.

The first gen 1.8T made 160hp, not sure which year they made the change to 180hp...my sister had a wolfsburg ed. jetta with the 180hp and it was probably just as fast as my s/c cavalier (maybe a little slower)...but the top end of those cars is retarded...If you won I would say it was due to driver error on behalf of the jetta...and the best thing about the 1.8T is for $400, you can get a neuspeed chip that puts it up to 227hp...well thats my little tid bit of insight on that...go to a track and race, then you will know for sure.

i've spanked numerous 1.8Ts and even one of those newfangled 2.0T powered shoes.

but you've got a lot of mods to do to make up the difference to mine at that level.. and even then, with a semi-moded 1.8t, its a drivers race.

I say bring him to the track and run a red light on purpose so you can MAYBE beat him to the line and look good for the 4 people in the stands there on street nights.

you dont need mega bucks to race a drag strip. just $20 or so to get in the gate to race.

after clicking on your profile to see what other posts you made, i discover you are in the Joplin/Springfeild, Missouri area. so i did a little SEARCHING online to see if there are any tracks near you.
be hold i have found Mo-Kan Dragway. according to yahoo. its roughly 16 miles from Joplin, MO. and before you go and cry how they dont let any sport compacts race there. i went and look at the forums they have. and i saw that they have photos of SRT-4s, grand-ams, even Civics racing there. so if those cars can race there. so can you in your cavalier. now go and race this jetta
