Anybody interested in full racing rollcages for thier J-Body. Putting a deal together with a fabricator to custom fit a full cage kit. The more interest the better. PM for more info.

Thanks, Scott

SW Race Cars already makes a 8 point and a full 10 point kit. You have your choice of 3 metals as well. I have the 8 point EWS in my 04 and it required very little trimming to fit. If you do buy it from them tell them Ryne Hoover sent you. :-) We don't have an account with them through TVR but I'm good buddies with the sales manager.

Here's the kits and PNs....

Part number:
11-1021 8 Point Roll Bar $169.95
1995-2001 Chevy Cavalier, 1-3/4" x .134" wall EWS tubing.

Part number:
11-1021-CM 8 Point Roll Bar $399.95
95-01 Cavalier, 1-3/4" x .083" wall moly tubing.

Part number:
11-1021-DOM 8 Point Roll Bar $399.95
95-01 Cavalier, 1-3/4" X .120" wall DOM tubing

Part number:
11-1521-CM 10 Point Roll Cage $499.95
95-01 Cavalier, 1-5/8" x .083" wall moly tubing

Part number:
11-1521-DOM 10 Point Roll Cage $499.95
95-01 Cavalier, 1-3/4" x .120" wall DOM tubing

Part number:
11-1521TD 10 Point Roll Cage $249.95
1995-2001 Cavalier, through dash, 1-5/8" x .134" wall EWS tubing

Part number:
11-1521TD-CM 10 Point Roll Cage $499.95
95-01 Cavalier, thru Dash, 1-5/8" x .083" wall moly tubing

Part number:
11-1521TD-DOM 10 Point Roll Cage $499.95
95-01 Cavalier, thru Dash, 1-3/4" x .120" wall DOM tubing

As you can see the prices are VERY reasonable and the kit evens comes with the NHRA REQUIRED 6in x 6in plates to weld the cage to the floor with. If you want to you can even get the kits as bolt-in.

Actually that won't work for circle track racing. They need to look like these. Check em out.

You never said what it was being used for. Definitely for oval track racing you need door bars. I doubt you'll get multiple orders though because, especially in oval track racing, each driver needs the bars placed differently to fit him/her comfortably. With a drag style cage you can adjust the bar angles to fit each driver because the door bars are mostly to hold the sides out when riding the wall, not to absorb a shot in them. With parallel door bars as oval cars need there isn't much flexibility in placement because of how they have to be to protect the driver when you get hit in the side, as often happens.

Already have 4-6 lined up. Door bars are placed as far outboard as possible, haven't seen it any other way. What I really need is a bare body in the Denver area so he can mock it up.

The bars height inside the car is what I meant.

For example....there is a guy at my track with a GSR Integra that he races in the stock 4 cylinder class. The door bar is perfect for him but I can't get comfy with it because it's level with my elbow when I'm in it and if I even move my arm out a little I bash it. When I put mine together it'll be lower, and hence, more comfy for me. They'll all be the same but placement is critical to comfort.

These are kits, bent tubing to fit the car. If you have to, you can locate the door bars at whatever height you wish.

Good looking out. If I didn't have someone to hand make mine I might buy a kit.

Makes it real easy, The entire job can be done in a day after you've done one. Two days max for a newbie.

Yeah mine will be done in one day. Painting the interior and cage will be done on the second.

If you take your car to someone who's done a few cars they can make anything.
