Well im just wondering for the ones who are using slicks or radials... what brands/size are you using..
At my work i can get mickey thompson for cost (which is ridiculously cheap, cheaper then my Eagle F1 summer tires were) but all they stock is the mickey thompson
So i wanted to see what you guys like.. also post up some pictures if you got them

silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
i used BF goodrich drag radials. size 225/50/15s
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Used BF Goodrich D/R in size 215/60R14 for my first season and now on a pair of M/T ET Street Radial 225/50R15. Love the Mickey Thompson's.
Sunfire 2005 Automatic - GMPP S/C + Motor Mounts + Drag Radials - 14.244 @ 96.497
I use Mickey Ts on the Vette and they hold awesome!
These are the MT - ET Street Radials:
Part #...Size Size....Equivalent... Appx.Weight..Compound..Approved Rims..Measuring Rim..Sidewall Width..Tread Width
3750R...P205/50R15...23 X 8.0R15.........22 ..........R2.....5.5" - 7.5".......6.5".........8.42"..........7.6"
3751R...P225/50R15...24 X 9.0R15.........23...........R2.....6.0" - 8.0".......7"...........9.11"..........8.2"
Overall Diameter... Circ.
...23.13" ..........73"
...23.98" ..........75.3"
NOTE: From Micky Thompson's web site.
Here's the info from Summit racing on each tire: 205/50-R15 and 225/50-R15. Both these tires will fit the stock steely 15" rims. The 205 will effectively multiply your current gear ratio by 1.077 (over the stock 24.9" Z wheel & tire, X 1.081 for stock 15" steely's 25" dia.). It is only 1 lb lighter, but the loss of the pound comes at the outside diameter. The 225 is 1 lb heavier, but is .6" wider (@ tread) and .85" taller, so it will only multiply your equivalent gear ratio by 1.038 (for Z, 1.043 for 15" steely).
BF Goodrich also has these same sizes in the g-Force T/A Drag Radials, both of which cost less than the MTs. Hossier makes a DOT - DR in 225/50-R15 and Goodyear makes a 205/50-R15 DR.
I've heard good things about the BFGs, some prefer the MTs over the BFGs. I haven't heard anything about the GoodYear DRs.
There are also quite a few sizes available in regular Drag Slicks, just shop places like Summit Racing or Jeg's (or you favorite tire store) for sizes, prices and availability.
EDIT: MT also makes the Mickey Thompson ET Drag Sport Compact tires
I currently have a set of Khumo ASXs in 205/50-R15s for track tires, but have only run them onece at Orlando Speed ( or Spin) World (when the timer shut down during the run and I got no timeslip.) I had a ton of spin with them at Orlando. I want to soak them in VHT Track Bite and take them to Gainseville Raceway and see what they'll do.

We used BFG drag radials on our SRT-4 and popped 11 second passes with it...
As far as Slicks, Mickey Thompson is what we use, 26x10, on the Sunfire
Street-Legal 2003 Sunfire 10.58 @ 139 MPH

What are the options for people with the wilwood big break kit up from who have to run 17's or bigger like myself?
Are there any options?
Right now I'm just running 225/50/15 BF goodrich drag radials. They are ok but I'd like something bigger. I have some 16x7.5" wheels I might try the 255/50/16 MT tires but that will come later. Hoping it won't rub unless I crank the wheel fairly far.

Nitto's do not stick as well as the BFGs but they last longer and are a lot cheaper. they aren't overall bad at all, but if you can afford it, I would get BFGs for grip WAY before 555r's and i hope no one is daily driving on any of these... wet traction is not going to be anything at all to speak of, and wear is very quick.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I have these - Kumho Ecsta V710 Slicks on 15 inch american racing wheels. However I believe they are better for auto-x than they are for straight line dragging. I still have to learn how to launch properly as I was having some traction problems with these last year and had some horrible 60's.

I have a low profile jack and I can't get it under the car with my 19s on. I have to drive onto 2x4's first with the 19s and then I have to add another pieces of wood when I have the 15s on.

I ran 24.5x8x15 M/T Drag ET's last year on a set of steelies. This year I am running a set of 26x10x15 M/T Drag ET's mounted on a set of 15"x9" Weld racing wheels.
I have to run my coil-overs all the way up to fit the taller tires in there.
