Had the chance to take the car to the track over the weekend on the street tune that it had. I didn't have a chance to get the MAF translator installed so I ran it as it was. It was tuned at 15psi, pump fuel and stock timing to the tune of 451whp and 421wtq. The first day was kind of up and down, first run I ran a 13.3, second run I ran a 17.1 after a charge pipe blew off on the line. Thrid run was a 13.2 with the car braking down mid track. Upon further inspection I found two plug wires were up againts the manifolds and had burnt right through, a quick trip to crappy tire fixed that problem. 4th run I layed down a 12.2@119mph and then the 5th run was an 11.9@120mph. Over the next few runs I was running 11.9's consistantly but my MPH kept getting better with my last run being an 11.9@126mph. The problem now is traction just like others said it would be. I could not get the car to hook up till 4th gear no matter what I did and was only seeing 60ft times of 2.3
I would just smoke the tires till 4th and then pull really hard. There was not much compound down and the little bit there was the street cars kept tearing up. On one run it was so bad that when I launched it threw me towards the guard rail, it took me till about half track to get back to the center line. The last run of on Saturday night I threw the acessory bet off, turns out that one of the bolts that I used to secure the A/C delete pulley with snapped and twisted the pully. Under hard acceleration it would throw the belt off so I was done for the weekend. All in all though I was very happy with the way the car performed and the great thing is that I drove the car 4 1/2 hours to the track and then drove it back home with no issues at all.
From here the plan is to find a good set of coil-overs and move up to a 26x10" slick. I also have to get the MAF translater installed and then tuned which should net me an additional 200whp or so.
I do have some video of some of the runs but they are not here right now, when I get them I will post them up.
