Well, I was expecting fire works, and I got 'em
1st pass...
60': 1.800
1/4: 14.6ish
mph: 60mph
car pulled hard through first and second and started to hestitate really bad... welded the #2 spark plug.
2nd pass...
60': 1.770
330: 5.1xx (that would be a 12.3-12.4)
1/4: 18.3 baby!
mph: 40mph
Car pulled like a raped ape out of the hole and through 2nd before a big nitrous backfire... I got back into it for another series of big nitrous back fires. #1 plug had its electrode burnt off.
3rd pass...
60': 2.017
1/4: 14.9
mph: 91.xx
No bottle, a s**t 60', a wounded motor (lots of blowby, dont think I hurt a piston, but rings might have kissed), and a tune meant for nitrous (very rich, about 15* less advance than I typically run)
Looks like I'm going to re-engineer my fuel setup since I just cant get it to run consitantly... after seeing whats up with the motor as really, that 3rd pass isnt too bad considering the the tune and crappy 60.

man, you throw on nitrous, and PJ is still kickin your ass!
But seriously man, good luck getting the problems worked out, I want to finally see a time out of this thing thats in the realm of what it SHOULD be able to do!

Good luck getting it back to the track soon, and getting a good tune on there.

Well my consolation prize was the 5.1 60'... thats faster than Ryne. Hopefully get some video of the run.
We'll fix it, and it'll be faster. I'm not scared of race gas, bring on the 13+:1 compression (if I killed pistons)

I was waiting for that one. But seriously, this is one of the reasons that I will never run nitrous. I've seen a profesionally tuned ProMod running nitrous blow the front of the car of, becaus a piece of dirt slowed the fuel flow. Its boost only for me.

that sucks man..
now go get it up and running lol
you goin to GLD in june?
if not you hittin the bash in july?
my new motor should be done by the bash
I'm traveling for pretty much throughout most of June and July... gotta pay for car parts somehow... and thats means I have to go to meetings, give talks and such.
Apparently, the Hahn manifold causes the excess crankcase pressure due to blocking the PCV port and since my compression numbers are barely within spec I'll beat on this motor for the rest of the year and freshen it this winter.
