Analyze my timeslips :)

The setup: 01 Z, stock reflash, gm s/c, 2.7 pulley, custom cai, 59mm tb, pacesetter header, full 2.25" exhaust, auto tranny. Boosting 7 psi w/ spikes of 8

Variables: temp 40 deg, stock 16's with hankook all season radial tires, full interior weight, heavy audio system in the trunk, front tires set to 25 psi, trac off, powerbrake to 2000 (already spinning when I release at this rpm, so no point in going higher), overall track noob.

First run:
60 ft - 2.25
1/8 - 9.6
1/4 - 15.1
mph - 88.9

A lot of tire spin off the line through first gear, eased off slightly till it caught.

Second run:
60 ft - 2.64
1/8 - 9.9
1/4 - 15.2
mph - 92.31

On this run, I got off the line REAL easy so I wouldn't spin the tires, which is the cause for the low first half numbers. What I wanna know though is how the hell did I make up so much track time and especially mph on the last half?

Just wondering what you guys' input is on the numbers

I would think it'd be quite a bit faster, are you real high above sea level??

when we had our chicago track day a couple weeks ago there were a couple all motor ecos with a couple bolt ons pulling times very simular to yours, I would think bolts one + supercharger on a 2.4 would do better

stock well worn 16's, full weight, and 5-speed. just thought of that are you an auto? cause that would explain it

nevermind I missed the auto part in your first post

for an auto thats not bad at all but I think your next bog mod should be a 5-speed swap

get some of that interior out. like the passenger and rear seats. audio system out of there including the spare tire and jack. the psi in your fronts might of been a little too low. get some better tires, like BF goodrich drag radials

Going based off your numbers I would say run 1 you hoked better than run 2. Reason MPH, MPH is a sign of power, but you can have a good MPH and a low ET because of spinning. Less MPH and better ET is usually better traction, also 60ft supports that as well. What was your tire pressure? What were you launching at?

i purposely ran it the way it was (minus the lower tire pressure) cuz I wanted to see what it'd pull in full street trim. there are also no more engine mods going in.

the 92 mph trap is what gets most of my attention.

What do you mean exactly? Good MPH. With that mph and a good run you should have a 14.8-14.9

You're not running the S/C reflash?

Those numbers are confusing...lol. Could also be a track error. It's known to happen from time to time.

aren't the 2.4 s/c at least trapping 94-95 in stock form ? those times seem awful for a s/ced J...

14.425 @ 97.833 mph stock + GMPP s/c on drag radials.

was it running HOT, the charger it meen,
your computer has 2 fuel peramiter, one is "high " octane and one "low" if your computer saw alot of knock retard it would detune your motor, making it lower HP, thus neting you a good ET, at a low gate speed.

just an idea

well, the intake temps were at 160 (i logged it with the scan tool), which isn't bad at all.

dante, show me somewhere where someone posted that with exactly the variables i posted. i HIGHLY doubt it.

lash, the stock "flash" wouldn't be a "reflash" now would it.

I ran a 15.3 with an eco 5 spd, exhaust and intake... something doesnt seem right with yours having a sc even if it is an auto, something is wrong here.

take it for a spin with a scan tool hooked up, see if your geting any knock counts.

seems low to me for a s/c in addition to the mods you have. if you can get your 60 fts down youll notice a big difference. i run consecutive 2.21's in my lightly modified 2.2 OHV. i can see how your auto may be hurting you. do you have a shift kit?

Re: Analyze my timeslips :)

what do you meen? total Avd. was 0* or 0 counts of Knock, ( thats not as good as you think, as this meens your computer is not pushing your timing to its max).

i would be very upset running 92mph supercharged.... auto or not. bolt on manuals can trap that.
