sooooo... i just got back from the track tonight... it was a great night to say the least...
before tonight my best run was 14.04 at 98... since then i have gotten my motor built by suncavi, just like qbe but only the bottom end with lower compression pistons and forged rods.... my first run tonight was a 14.0, then a 13.7, then a 13.2, then a 13.4... making tonights best...
13.2 @ 106.3MPH!!! With my automatic tranmission!!
Im pretty excited right now
and to make it better I beat a SRT4 that had a lot of work done, pretty much everything short of a big turbo, his best run was a 13.6... I have the logs (hpt files) and the in car video of the run, im going to be posting the in car video tomorrow because my friend has the video recorder, and ima post the logs later tonight...
a little hint about the log...
13.2 run:
*low timing (i forget now but something around 12-14 degrees of advance at 15PSI **heat range 7 irridium plugs ngk)
*practically no knock (spurts of 1/2 knock at the beginning of the run)
*changes speed limiter (all i had to do was change the two feilds that say "speed limiter and i was going 114 when i hit my rev limiter which i need to *change now
)
*this track (and im sure many if not all others) has a scale, my car weighed EXACTLY 2800lbs
*it was fairly cool out, and i have a intercooler, and water injection that kicks in at 4psi, m3 nozzle i think
*im not logging my wideband
i need to do that, but air fuels are 11.3 almost completely steady through out the entire run on my AEM UEGO Wideband
*I have the gayest. cheapest tires in the world, lol... i could not launch hard or i would spin out, check out my 13.4 run in my profile, 2.360foot, throw up... after my 13.2 i tried to be awesome and launched harder
and i spun off the line, next time im going back with micky thompsons

i just realized ltft b1 is completely reading incorrectly, lol... hptuners glitch!! YAY. but im not worried abouit cruise, so i didnt notice...
and, i have a HUGE boost leak at the manifold, the plastic manifold is like two peices it looks like, almost like its a plastic flane, and it leaks there... alot

lol, yea! I have a 8"x11" B&M Transmission Oil Cooler and B&M Temp Gauge, Temps never reached over 160F/165F!!! It was a pretty good night!
it still acts weird when its shifting, i havent gotten the transmission shifting points and pressures down yet (as you can probably see in the log), i have been focused more on tuning the timing and a.f's, but now that thats where i want it ima focus on the tranny

im working on it!! lol... i have a huge leak on my manifold, i need to fix it today, i have a spare manifold, i tried leak testing and i couldnt even hold 1 lb of boost with the air compressor, but decided to go out to the track anyways... and ima get drag radials, and other stuff to make me zoom in to the 12;s!!!! pretty exciting... after i get in the 12;s ima stop unti i can afford to build my tranny and head, then ima boost it up to like 25!!! yay!!

Jason Anderson: Thats what im thinking too... im leaning more towards building my tranny instead of doing a swap... i have heard that this tranny (4t40e) can take a max of 325 torque... so ima get on a dyno once i get a 3 bar map sensor and turn up the boost until my torque is at 290/300 and then go back tot eh track with some drag radials

the only other one i have now has no sound and im losing to a srt4 that runs 11's when i was running mid 14's, lol . . . . ima make new vids later, but they wont be at the track, just burn outs and stuff
