03 Sedan M62 1/8 Times
Monday, August 28, 2006 8:13 PM
I ran yesterday. My times got progressively worse because of heat soaking.

Anyway to sum it up. My best run was:
2.150 0-60"
6.331 330"
9.686 @ 74.5 mph

Second best (after letting it cool for a good amount of time):
2.132 0-60"
6.393 330"
9.720 @ 74.92 mph

I was happy with this. Before yesterday, my best 0-60" was a high 2.4. Horray for improvement.

Horray for boost.

What are some other people with comprable cars running in the 1/8?

Your 60's are really good so I don't quite understand the times you're getting.

9.686 = 15.10 or so
9.720 = 15.15 or so

Those are give or take couple of 0.01

But a 5spd Eco S/Ced with the full line done only pulling 15.1x? Ever ran the car with the Supercharger on the 1/4? Any times on the 1/4 before the S/C kit? Reflash with the S/C kit was done right?

Elevation? Humidity? Temp?

ehh i think it would be good for high 14's, but your 60' are kinda low so i would think you would have some better times. Then again i havent seen much from the s/c eco's yet to compare it to or know what there really running, not to many people have them but try and hit a 1/4 mile track if there is one around you.

His trap speeds a pretty high for 9.6-9.7's....so it'll be in the 14's for sure. Probably around 14.7-14.8
He traped almost 75mph...whereas a n/a car would probably be around 71-72 ish with the same e.t.

I'm not sure about the elevation. The track is in Knoxville, TN.

Without the supercharger, I was getting 2.5 second 0-60" times and finishing in the mid 10's at the same track.

The nearest 1/4 mile track is 2 hours away. So some day....

I also don't have my boost gauge installed. So I'm not entirely sure how much boost I'm seeing. Eh.

Which track is 2 hours away? Bristol? I am going to say that being in Knoxville, the elevation is probably hurting you. I would check out one of the GA tracks possibly. Maybe try the 1/8th in Crossville or something?

A 9.872@70 is right for a 15.4 1/4 time.

Looks at his traps compared to others running 9.6-9.7's though. He'll shave alot in the top 1/2 of the track.

Also...I think a lot has to do with the shifting.
The launch is GREAT.... the trap speed is GREAT....but the shifting seems slow.
A 75mph 1/8 trap speed should be good for a 9.3's 1/8 time.....and roughly 14.4-14.5's in the 1/4.

Probably has A LOT to do with this thread..

I don't understand how the trap speed can be great, but the time can't.
