the only way the ecotec powered cars lose is if they break, which doesn't happen often.
We've dominated pro FWD and a few other classes for the past 5 years, and will continue to do so. The ecotecs get more and more powerful every year.
We'll reap a lot of benefits from the racing technology thats going to be developed and already is developed as the it trickles down to the regular joe blow enthusiast like you and me.
I don't know about you guys, but I feel a big swell of pride when I see those cars run.

Funny thing is they keep limiting the Ecotecs again and again to level the field. In 2 years I have changed the legal turbo size in my NHRA S/C rule book, get this, 3 times and changed the minimum weights a few times as well LOL.

oh definetly they do I'm not saying they don't
but it seems the only time one of the competitors gets the win is if an eco can't make it down the track
you can't win all the time =P but they sure are close.
I remember following the NOPI track season in 05 and every result I'd catch in Turbo or SCC would have ATP sunfire and ecko unltd in the final... after a while the whole class was just those two.
I know its just racing, and I know its just an engine, but they're on our team and they're kicking ass

thats funny. I just recently started talking to my wife about when I get back from the sandbox picking up an Eco cavi and seriously campaigning it through nopi and other sport compact venues.
its really good to hear how well the j's and cobalts are holding up. its about time we started publicly humiliating all those vtecs, focus ztecs, and srt-4's that get all the damn attention

Good solid engines.
GMs v8s clean house a bit as well. The drag GTO shares alot of the aerodynamic package as the cobalt.
