you also have an exhaust that isn't choaking you...... and a manual.... two big advatages lol

when i do the exhaust i expect giant gains. upwords of 30hp 20 inch piping is garbage i just did the most expensive upgrades first

i don't see how a extra 1/4 inch of piping will give you 30hp. maybe like 10 max

half inch no cat, besides

anyway it was horrible, the charger was completey heat soaked. i was ice bagging it but there wasn't enough time between runns to get it cool

my best run was 15.8 at 86.5mph reaction time .176.... i will say this it was 86degrees out and 90% humidity, along with the altitude being like 1400 feet. no one was really doing good.

That makes me feel good u are .6 faster than my 4door Z. last time i went was a little hotter and i'm still stock. You need to raise that compression bad.. I'd say polish forged pistons compression ratio 10:1 or 10:5 and that charger would be sitting nice.

if i pulled a 15.0 on my built motor with the 2.6 pulley id probally end myself. i pulled a 14.7 on the stock pulley before the rebuild with only intake, exhaust and throttle body. with the 2.6 pulley and injection you should be pulling high 13's, since you dont have alky injection or upgraded exhaust id guess 14.20 range if you can hook decently. i havent ran my built motor with the 2.6 pulley and injection yet so thats coming in a week or so, im also adding the 50 shot instead of the 35 shot i used before, good luck.

tomorrow the exhaust system goes on. and prolly the alky will go on this weekend
then i will take it to get tuned for the engine changes, alky, and ford green tops

i am starting to build of the stuff i need to do a twin charger like josh

yeah i am loving it..... and before i get bashed i know what im doing. I changed my mind about trying to do an m62. i an going to run a 57trim hybrid t3 prolly i am not sure of how much boost but i am aiming for 20psi on the turbo... but i need to study it more...

Something is wrong. Most stock manual J's with either a 2.4 or ecotec trap higher than 87 mph.

They do???? Really. 87mph sounds about right for a stock J, but not for a charged J.

i wish i took my cav to the track b4 i ripped off the s/c and showed you ladies some real times on a stock s/c pulley.

my damn car went 15.0 on a 62mm t/b, intake, cat back exhuast, motor mounts and a HO crank pulley ,80k stock clutch. on snow tires! too.

anytime any GM s/c car goes to the track it is always a fricken excuse. makes me sick. i could get to the track as i moved 4 hours north of it 2 years ago. i could have pulled a high 13 outta it , i know it on a damn 150k stock isuzu also.

^ Bragging is not that cool anymore!

BUT, good try Sinrocker! At first I was going to say it had to be your 60ft's but they were right around what most people are pulling out of these J's with not that much done to them. I think if you ran an open exhaust or something to that nature you'll get a pretty nice time. Boost is all about breathing but I know you know this. Good luck on your next runs out!

the exhaust is on but the obx header didn't fit.. we went to install it and as we were bolting it up and it was becoming flush with the head it went right against the fire wall. strange. so the exhaust is 2.5 manifold back. 29in glass pack and a cherry bomb muffler. all manderal bent stainless steel and stainless welds. not cat, just a o2 sim, the shop here did it all for me for 300 custom welded it in front of me i will post pics of the install later.

the original cat melted the screen inside had peices melted together. which would explain why my car has been trying to stall out after it warmed up. lol.

the car it self feels like a whole new car much more powerful at any speed even with the stock manifold.... i bet the cat was killing my times being that it was shot.

and btw the times are due to me having a motor built for a turbo not an m45 charger.... i have started shopping for the turbo stuff and should have everything in a month and installed..... just dont know if i will sell the supercharger.

tomorrow the alky goes in

but i will get times with the alky and with out the alky... so i can see how much the exhuastt helped. then to see how much more the alky helps

nextweek or the week after i get tuned..... for the current engine build, and a charger with a 2.6 and ford green tops... should be niceeee

anyone know how much alky helps with intake temps???

alky was instaled on sat still is not tuned and he is running 9:1 Compression Compared to the 9.7:1 that came stock. the pistons are 9.1:1 but its over board .020 on a bone stock auto tranny he was suprised with my wheel hop. he got none with just engine mounts, that tranny is killin him. i gurantee with a 5 speed and a 3tage 2 clutch +lightend flywheel he could probley run low 14s high 13s all day long.
