Whats up everyone...I went to Quaker City Raceway yesterday, which is the first time on a track for me and decided to get a time in my cav. I wanted to see how i compare to the other cars I was watching and whatever else is out there. So anyone who has opinions, comparisons, whatever you gotta tell me, go for it. thanks guys.. heres my info....
My Car:

2002 Chevy Cavalier
2.4L 4 cyl

R/T - .808
60' - 2.409
330 - 6.801
1/8 - 10.480
MPH - 68.02
1000 - 13.535
1/4 - 16.309

ps - i raced a Civic with not much done to it but i still beat him = )
His reaction time was a little bit better (.716) but 1/4 for him was 17.394 @ 75.46MPH
2.4 with a 5 speed can get mid 15's stock. keep practicing

quakercity raceway sucks. The track goes uphill near the very end of the line. I ran a bone stock eco and only got 16.3 there
not bad considering you've only driven stick for about a month and that was your first run ever...

'Nuff said bro!
Seriously though, to run a 16.3 your first time out at Quaker City is pretty good. That track is absolutely terrible. Traction off the line sucks, and it goes uphill before the finish. My trap speeds there were 5-7 mph slower than my normal track. I've run a 15.5 before and hit 90-91 in the 1/4, and all I could manage was a 16.1 for my best at Quaker City. Hell, there was a 425 hp turbo Eclipse that only ran like 15.1 coz traction was non existent. Why do you think that at the 2004 Bash they traveled almost an hour to go to Thompson?
Since you're close to Quaker City, I would just drive the extra distance to Thompson---it seems like a faster track---I have run both of them.
Like I said though, good time for first timer and at QC.
Thanks for the comments guys I guess i'll think twice before running it at Quaker City again lol. I was pretty happy with my time but I did notice traction off the line sucked real bad. I spun my tires too long so I know I can improve. My shifting was great though so it all comes down to off the line for me. O well, we'll see what happens next time...
Thompson aint much better. the track goes up hill. a .3 seconds off your time according to the locals.
when i raced there at the 04 bash i could tell the track went up hill when i was at the line
