First of all, let me start off by saying that qualcomm stadium is the biggest piece of crap 1/8 mile track in san diego.
And sadly, it's the only good track in the area.
The track itself is an uphill 1/8th mile, The guys who run racelegal.com cannot find a level 1/8th mile track so it kind of sucks, but times are slower because of it.
Despite that, I was the star of tonight's show.
I beat a GTO.
No this isn't versus, the guy was a terrible driver and looked to be about 15 or 16, so I assume he's very new at racing heads up. Either way, the crowd was staggered when I beat him. Considering I was the only cavalier at the event, it was just something to see, and something I'm especially proud of... and with all that said.... it was a good night. my best slip is...

Not all that great, but it's progress. even if it's very little.
my 13.6 slip actually shows whatever i was racing against had a 1/8 mile of 10.450 and trap of 67.76... he ran a 1/4 of 16.2, so i'd say with your 2mph more trap speed, maybe 15.9/16.0.... not shabby given the conditions you describe.... ouch when it comes to that 60' though.... ouch indeed....

oh yeah. my 60 footer needs help. I'm still pretty new at launching..
I got it down to 2.4 but I always seem to spin them tires...
Yeah, racelegal is a pretty low buget track. But they do run 4 lanes which is nice (if they still do, haven't been in a while)
Don't expect to get any decent launch/ 60' there.
I think my best was a 10.2 there, with 14" azenis sport tires.
Hey, don't feel bad, national trails raceway in columbus ohio is probably the worst track in the country barr none!
Watch out there nah!
yeah Tom they still do 4 lanes which is pretty nice, they get you some pretty good runs. and a lot of runs in if you keep getting back in the lanes.
Yeah that track is crap. I can't get any grip with my tires on launch either no matter how many times I tried.
And as the night progressed my times got slightly worse. I'll have to go up north to Cali speedway or something and try out their 1/4 mile track. But I'm happy with my cavalier, very happy where it is so far.
10.5 60' is around a 16.3-16.5
i run between a 9.7and 10.1 60 and 1/4 from 15.3-15.8

They don't call the Q an ice rink for nothing.
