just wondering, can I reach 60 mph safely in my z24? What is the most you can rev with the 2.4? I have an underdrive pulley, if that helps any.
You can easily hit 60mph safely in your car. If you are talking about reaching it in the 1/4 mile, god i hope you can.
If you can't reach it in a 1/4 mile your engine is shot.

my best 0-60 time on the street in my 99Z24 was 6.8 seconds, but thats probably not that accurate because i was timing myself and going off my speedo....

auto or manual? If auto 60 in 2nd no prob, manyal probably not. BTW, your car has a tach with a redline to show you how high to engine should go. Duh...

yea i hit 60 very easily in 2nd and last time i did a self time wit my frend i ran bout 6.5 or sumthin like that
i can hit close to 57 or so in 2nd on my 02 5 speed with ecotec...
i have a 98 z24 cavalier, and i hit 60 in second gear, and i have a manual, id say it was around 6050 rpm, not that safe : )
0 to 60 is about mid to low 6's
