The racing bug was getting to me and since the mustang's been down for a while due to the new intake, I decided to head on down to the track and watch some test-and-tune.
Well, once I got there I decided to run in the beater. You know, $10 to watch, or $15 to race. Hard choice.
I ended up making 3 passes that night. The cavi (2.2 ecotec) had way more wheel hop than the mustang (01 Cobra with IRS), but I still managed to run consistent 16.3s @ 84mph with a DA of 5,800'. I was pretty impressed with the car. That was much faster than I ever imagined it would go
The only downside is I broke the 12th commandment: thou shalt not race thy daily driver.

Hmm...don't see an edit button, but the car is bone-stock (except for the mobil 1) -- even paper air filter. If it wasn't that would break the 11th commandment: thou shalt not modify thy daily driver

It's a manual. There's a lot more in the car. The first run I tried leaving at 5,500 (the mustang leaves at 7,000) and I had more wheel hop than I wanted, but I still ran a 16.3. The last two I just left at idle and still managed 16.3's.
Pretty respectable for a little 4 cylinder if you ask me

I must be a real heathen. This Z24 IS my daily driver.
