sweet! i need to try a road course. i bet if you got some struts and a rear bar and some sort of alignment you would be a good bit faster
see ya!
Road courses or track (I like to call it)(everybody seems to think a drag strip is a track ITS NOT!) are great fun I have gone to a bumch of lapping days since I baught my car five years ago. I am actually going to Shannonville tomorrow afternoon for an evening session, I will get to see how my 048's handle the road course and then an Autocross the next day at Mosport. You don't really need to do anything special to the car either I still use stock pads and rotors but I do use R compound tires though.

i find it hard to manage the azenis on track. they stick well as long as you dont over drive them. 20 min sessions is max for me on azenis then they get real greasy.

Ok why must you saw drag strip is not a track? It is a track. Might not be what you like to do, but it is a track and requires skill to do it, as does auto-cross, or roadcorse racing.

It's say not saw and why did you have to say what you just did? Did that post just make you feel better? Or do you feel so strongly about taking your car to the "drag strip"?

Oh yea I forgot, I took my car to the track last Friday with my Advan 048's and had a blast at Shannonville. I put stock GM pads on the front about a week or so before the lapping evening and no fade or anyproblems on track, went with a small group of Sentra Spec-V's total of eight on track and the track is about 2.25 km long.
Also had the pleasure to watch the three Cobalt SS's today at Mosport in the Grand-am race, there was the Scada pac Cobalt leading ST when I left the track.

ive always wanted to run my car for a few passes.....do most road course tracks have times where the average person can pay up a few bucks and make a few laps?
I don't know about the states but up here you have to pay some good coin to get on a track(road course) an evening like I did with more then 12 people would have cost over 60 bucks but a full day will normally be over 100. bucks and most people wont spend a tonn of time actually on track. Most people would last very long so they normally do 5-10 laps if that and then bring the car in and talk and then go out again.

You will spend a good amount of money to get on a road course. Expect to pay at least 50-60 dollars. You can always do a hillclimb though if you are looking to get away from the sea of cones.
