Well, I hit my goal for this time out, and the best part is that there's a little more in her yet, so I can hope for high 12's sometime in the forseeable future. Not a bad time for how little I actually did to get here. Anyway, here's the slip info and a little clip of me wasting a mustang gt. I'll scan and post the slips later, the web page I use to host my pics is acting up.
vid of new personal best
First run with the nitrous....
R/T ... .585
60' ... 2.116
330 ... 5.768
1/8 ... 8.735
MPH ... 82.51
1000 ... 11.340
1/4 ... 13.554
MPH ... 102.95
I think I had the bottle pressure just a tad high, and the 60' sucked.
2nd run......
R/T ... .258
60' ... 2.031
330 ... 5.613
1/8 ... 8.564
MPH ... 82.76
1000 ... 11.125
1/4 ... 13.303
MPH ... 103.57
Best run of the night, but I still think I can do better on the 60' time. The 12 second SRT-4 guys were telling me to air down to 14 psi, but I didn't listen and wouldn't go below 17, maybe they were right after all. Those lucky bastages were pulling 1.8's all night.
3rd run....
R/T ... .740
60' ... 2.059
330 ... 5.644
1/8 ... 8.615
MPH ... 81.98
1000 ... 11.288
1/4 ... 13.573
MPH ... 99.82
Major nitrous supply issues here, I might have over heated the line and got gas bubbles, cause it fell flat on it's face just before the 1000 ft mark. Check out the crappy trap speed on this one.
4th and last run.....
R/T ... .567
60' ... 2.078
330 ... 5.703
1/8 ... 8.633
MPH ... 83.82
1000 ... 11.163
1/4 ... 13.314
MPH ... 105.0
Yea, got my backup run to validate the other 13.3. Not quite the 60' time again, but check out that trap. I pulled the bottle out, turned it upside down, and purged the air bubble out of it and topped it off at the refill station. Once I get this all sorted out and actually tune the damn car, I just might be in the 12's with a stock engine on nothing but nitrous. And if I get close enough, I'll just gut the sucker!

Kick ass man!!!
Looks like I am going to have to step it up a little over here as well now
People underestimate the potential of a stock 2.4.
Biggest thing is not having it tuned right.
If you beat my 13.1, you are going to force me to turn up the boost
Anyways, good to see more J's down in that time frame

Lol, you're the guy I'm gunning for. I hate being last on the list, it makes me feel vunerable. I guess if we both start pushing it hard though, we'll either break something, or Brian will be bumped to the end of the list.

Haha good stuff!
I am going to think that @!#$ is gonna start breaking pretty soon, but the motor is tuned in good running 11.8 - 12.0 af's to redline. Turned up the boost just to 12psi and a/f are still holding steady, so assuming that I can pull my usual 2.0 60 ft, I should be able to break into the 12's im hoping.
Going to the track again tomorrow and I am going to be pushing hard for 12's
Gonna make you work hard for your keep

Nice run Nitro, keep up the good work.
You should work on the suspension and alignment next.
Your can get much better than 2.0 60ft times, my guess is you have BFG drag radials?
There people out there getting deep into the 1.8's and even 1.7 60fts on BFG radials on a FWD car.
Most of what those cars have in common is suspension and alignment tuning.
Usuually coilovers (not the cheap Ebay kind, real ones)
High Spring Rates in the rear (higher than the front)
Suspension Bushings (Energy or Prothane)
Stiff or Solid Engine/Transmission Mounts
Precise front end alignment
LSD (Limited Slip Dif)

I'd like to see you break into the 12's with a ver small investment, further proving the value of smart choices on a limited budget.

WOW....... gots to love the bottle!!!!!
Very impressive times, and if I dont get moving on my cars, I will end up at the bottom of the list...... or maybe even off it!!!!!

i read up on the mustang forums that u linked us too. that was funny.
nice work man.
Well, this is a daily driven car, so no hard a$$ springs for me. And you are right, I've seen the SRT guys hitting 1.8's all day with the stock suspension. They are also only running 14 psi in their tires. I didn't have the balls to do that yet. I kept mine at 18 psi, but I'll drop down to 14 next time just so I can hit some 12's. *Please, God, keep me diff from blowing up! And, Anthony, my total investment so far is still under $1500, so I just might break into the 12's on that alone. LD9 for life!!!!!!!

Keep it up man....
I would do something like that, but I have bigger fish to fiy this season.
About the suspension -
The spring rates don't have to be rock hard.
Coilovers allow an infinie range of spring rates. Most of the time on very hard springs like 600-700lbs the ride is actually pretty good with coilovers because you have control over the strut valving, something you can't get with regular struts.
Don't knock it until you try it
Just lowering the CG in the car will improve your ET's...
1995 Plymouth Neon Highline - Magnum Powered!
Well, I already have the RKS H&R springs, which are the hardest I care to go, and I don't feel like shelling out my hard earned cash for coilovers just yet.

nitro do you spray from the line? or do you wait --- also how much better are the drag radials over the azenis you use to run?
I spray as soon as I hook up, and so far I've only cut my 60' time down by 1 tenth, but I didn't air down as much as I should have either, so hopefully I can cut another tenth or 2 off of the 60' and break into the 12's.

cool thats how ihave been doing it too
