I own a 1995 Chevy Cavalier z24 with a blown engine. It has been parked for approx 10 years because I can't locate a exact 2.4L twin cam ( that was originally in the car).
What other replacements will the bolts match up so I can have my car drive able again or will i have to completely modify the entire vehicle?
My dad found a 3800 to put in it but we will have to completely modify the car and the clearance on all sides is VERY tight.
Amanda,
You cannot locate the 2.4 twin cam for the 95 because you had the original 1995 2.3 Quad 4 (OBD 1). That is the engine that you should seek if you want to stay original or you could swap out all of the wiring and control modules for the 96-97 setup. If the engine is truly bad, before trashing it you could save the cam and oil pump if they are intact. People like to upgrade the 2.4 with them.
