Hi
My name is Larry I'm living in Canada.
I'm looking for part swap infos.
Here the story i'v got a 2002 cavalier 2.2l rebuilt in 2004 with my old 1995 2.2l deer-wrecked cavalier.
That 2002 is 192000+ miles & it run like a brand new the only trouble is that it start to leak transmission oil from the left axle @ about 1 gallon per 6-8 weeks. It as already been repaired (at 156000miles) but it start leak again, it seem that the problem is this is not only the seal but a bushing on the transmission cover that is worn out.....again
On the other hand my son had a 1999 2.2l cavalier that he unfortunatly crash it in a ditch. He was not hurt but the front end is badly damaged & airbag as been deployed so the car will go to the scrap or it will be sold for parts, it have less than 75000miles.
The question now
Can a take a 1999 transmission to fit it on my 2002?
Or maybe the engine+transmission from the 1999 to the 2002?
Also will front brakes (discs, pads & calipers) & rear axle bearing fit from the 99 fit on the 02?
any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Larry

No...transmissions are different.

IIRC yes, but you have to swap ALL the wiring in the car. Not positive though.

Yes
