From Minnesota and beating a dead horse (anti-theft)

I'm sure this gets talked about all the time and I don't necessarily expect an answer here but if someone could steer me to the right forum section I'd appreciate it.
I can't seem to get any suggestions or answers on a different Cav Forum.

Here goes:
96 Cavalier (base) , only power option is the outside mirrors.
One of my kids bought this as a 1st car and I'll explain the issue the best I can.

In the morning after the car sits all night, I can go out and it starts right up.
The car will not miss a beat after it it running.
If I drive the car and get it warmed up good, bring it home, and shut it off, it will not restart and the theft light comes on solid.
After 10 minutes, I can go out and start the car with no issues.
The keys do not have the resistor in them.

Thanks

Found a broken wire in the steering column.
Repaired and no longer have an issue.
