i have a 1999 pontiac sunfire and my abs breaks keep coming on the light doesnt come on but they lock up like they are. took the drivers side drum off and loosen the shoe it made a difference for all of one day. not sure if its the sensors or what .but as an example ill be driving 10 km/hr and go to slow down and the abs starts kicking on and sometimes it locks up on gravel thats on the road. we have pulled the fuse and seen if that could help us figure it out but no help
anyone have any suggestions?? pls
few things:
1. how are your tires? if you tires are bald or close to it, its not uncommon for the abs to kick in more often.
2. also, kind of dumb but needs to be asked, how are your brakes? if they are worn or close to it, the abs will come on to tell you its time for new brakes.
Know these are kind of obvious, but sometimes its the obvious stuff we overlook. if it isn't these things, try asking this question in the suspension and brake forum.
