Hey guys how are you. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell of some of my plans for my car. Its a1999 chevy cavalier sedan. I have already put a body kit on, restored some pontiac fiero wheels, smoked the headlights and taillights, done a sound system, intake and exhaust, debadged the entire car and removed all trim. smoothed up a few lines and installed a 12000k hid kit. the plans for the car are to later this week paint the car viper blue pearl, and tint the windows. im currently saving to buy a 2.0 ecotec turbo engine trans and wiring harness swap for the cav. hope to be welcomed into the community and to learn alot from my fellow jbody fanatics.

How much do you know about that? It wont be an easy swap. You'd be better off swapping in a 2.2L eco or 2.4L Twin Cam and turboing them.
Welcome to the org, Travis. Post some pics!
yeh ur prolly right i was considering the 2.4. but i was also considerin the 3.8 swap. it would be alot of frame and mout mods but in my opoinion well worth. maybe ill jus finish makin the car look good then think along those lines. there are a few pics up under my profile of the progress of the car thus far. the paint will be gettin sprayed on the car around 10.00 am tomorrow. hope that it will all turn out all right. btw nice car i really like the stance what size drop do u have on it.

you obviously know what your doing why not just get a bottle and have fun. Remember motors for these car are every where
Nice job so far. Goodluck with the prgress, post up some pics after shes painted! Btw, what kit is that front bumper from, I likie! lol
its a skyline style front bumper from an unknown company that is goin outta business. i picked it up for 135.00 after shipping very cheap but was still a good product. btw guys got the paint on the car today was VERY DISSAPOINTED! the paint that i ordered was not outta date and i didnt know. the paint had gone bad and made a real damn mess of the car. looks awful in my opinion. called house of kolor today and they are shipping me another gallon of FRESHLY MIXED viper blue pearl along with a full refund for the amount i spent on the last kit. so back into the shop i go. uhh! and as for the bottle thing no thanks. had it on my s10 and my grand prix gtp didnt like the nasty after affects of a 175 shot on a 4.3 lol. so on the grand prix i only sprayed the intercooler it worked well on that but since im in the sticks was not cost affective lol. will get pics up of the car after its repainted

wtf were you running a 175 shot on?
my first engine in my 89 s10. fully built 4.3 v6 forged internals syclone intake and exhaust manifolds, greddy turbo pushin 9 psi. i sold the turbo kit and put a stock throttle body back on and exhaust and decided to run the 175 shot i had for a while. hey i beat the 2001 cobra with a 2.8 kenny bell. but it cost me that engine.lol

i bet it cost you that engine. pics of said engine that can handle that shot?
i have pics but i have to scan them. that engine didnt last long with that shot i promise. i had the turbo kit off and the bottle on for about 3 weeks. biggest mistake of my life. now the truck has a stock engine and a new home. back when my dad was able he used to build engines on the side. i worked in a transmission shop an entire summer saving to build that truck. i had it lowered 4 inc in the front 5 in the rear, notched the frame, beefed up the rear end with 4:73 gears and a posi set up, painted the truck candy apple green with a blue fad on the bottom half of the truck, was alot of fun but since my dad was hurt on the job leaving me to support him, my brother, my mom and myself all hot rod days have gone. i jus hope to be able to save more money again to do sumthin a lil bit specail to the j body.
