ok guys so i was suggested to come here and check this out by a member on another forum i am on. i recently traded a 1995 honda civic with a bent lifter (it was my beater car) with 300,000 plus miles on it and body damage for a 1999 Chevy cavalier Z24 with about 159,000 miles on it and some minor body damage. It has a green fender and a silver door on the passenger side and a dent in the driver quarter.

Facts on cavalier:
Year: 1999

Engine: 2.4 Lt Twin cam
Mileage: 159,000 original
Trans: automatic
Mics: fully loaded, aftermarket sunroof, kenwood headunit, 16 inch after market chrome and black wheels,

i have done some work to the car sense i have had it i tinted out the taillights and but new brakes all the way around it.

my main question is i have heard that the 2.4's are not the strongest motor so should i be concerned with the mileage that the car has? and is the car worth fixing the damage and repainting it do you guys think? the car is my daily driver and i drive it about 250 miles or more a week so the miles add up quick so i dont know how long the car will be around for.

dotn repaint.. go to the junk yard and pick yourself up some already white parts. IMO. but welcome to the org. i have 180k on my cav which is also a 99. just keep up on maintenance and you will be fine. if you havent already, put some new plugs and some clean oil in the biotch lol always make sure the oil level is full.
