Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Emily and I am new to the site as well as the world of modding. I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT which is currently completely stock. I have lots of plans for the future however, and cannot wait to get started. My boyfriend, Daflyinskwirl, will be helping me step by step with the process. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and let you guys know that any advice, ideas, and suggestions are more than welcome!
Welcome to JBO! Which part of Jersey are you from? You should check the Northeast Forum to get info about meet ups and such. Any pics of the car?
I'm from Ocean County and thanks I'll check it out now! I've been trying to upload pictures but its giving me some issues haha I'll keep trying!

I use photobucket for my uploads... check and make sure your pics arent too large or dont exceed 4mb? (somene correct me if im wrong, but I think thats the limit for non premi members) If you are any good with photoshop, you should make a sig (signature) for the bottom of your posts. not necessary, but this forum will suck you in if you are into mods or just general maintainance.
Theres a lot of really good info on this site, and some bad info also, so take what you hear with caution. Most people wont steer you wrong though. I should also say that if you have a question, use the search function before asking questions, people tend to get pissy when you ask something thats been answered many times before.
Good luck with the pics!!
haah thanks so much I really appreciate it! I'm gonna try using photobucket now and see if that helps. Jazer should make me a sig cause she loves me =D
Haha I can do this for ya luv
haha okay I'll let you know when I actually get pictures up so you can choose one
I should have someone make me a new sig. My photoshop skills suck severely, as shown in my sig

haha at least you have a sig!
Awesome choice with the black! I love my black cav, to me, black is always classy as hell. Anyway, thats in really good shape, how many miles? interior shots to come?
If that were my car, I'd take the side moldings and debadge it, get some tints (get it done professionally unless your b/f knows what hes doing. That car looks too nice for a ghetto tint job) and I'd keep the rims and tires stock. Again, thats if that was my car. The skys the limit, the more $$$ you have, the better lol
Just keep in mind the money you put into mods seldom come back to you when it comes time to sell. Either keep all the stock parts you replace and put them back on if and when you want to sell, and sell the parts individually. I see too many idiots selling cars on craigslist who are like "I want 10 grand for my 93 civic because I put $8k worth of mods into it and want to get my money back" and it just doesnt work that way...
Anyway, keep those pics coming, awesome that Miss Jazer is going to make a sig for you.
haah thanks! It has almost 23k on it right now, had about 17k on it when I got it. I'm starting off simple when it comes to the mods, starting with a short ram intake then probably suspension and later on some new wheels. I was thinking of keeping the badge on it and getting gold/bronze rims (still not decided on an actual set). I'll add some interior shots soon! The car's due for a good wash haha so after that I'll upload some more pictures (sometime tomorrow night probably).

it was recommended to me by blucavvy and I have to say its pretty good for the price. That link is for a 2.2 Eco (which Im assuming is in your cobalt).
the jbody intake is not the same as the cobalt intake.
and I don't really do tinting... engine/suspension/transmission/tuning work only =)
Em give me your wheels when you get PJ to buy you a new set k thnx
I <3 JGM
I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.
"Run! He's fuzzy!" "Get outta here!"

Yeah i figured as much, wasnt sure if it J eco and the delta eco were the same. Tinting is a PITA, one of the few things I'd take to a shop to do.
I SATCHMOE YOU!!!! wrote:Em give me your wheels when you get PJ to buy you a new set k thnx

I'm not cool enough to hang with Jeffie.
