hey guys i am new on here i am having trouble finding the right tranny fluid for my MANUAL 2.2 96 pontiac sunfire. was leaking around a seal b4 i fix the seal i need to find the right fluid/oil to put in the manual says synchromesh transmission fluid none of the auto parts stores know anything about it and the gm garage doesnt wanna mess with it because their computers go that far back

any help on this guys would be greatly appreciated

go to the dealer and ask for the GM syncromesh fluid tell them to look up what you need and don't be dumb

advance and autozone both carry synchromesh. it comes in a yellow pennzoil bottle. pennzoil makes the stuff that would be coming in the bottle from the dealer, but when you buy it in their bottle, it's less than half the price.
