Hello every body. This is my first post here on this forum. I'm new too the Jbody car game and need a little help with a mod I'm thinking of doing to my car.
I have a 2005 cavalier 5spd with a 2.2 Ecotec
I have been looking too supercharge it and don't know what to do. Every time I look up a supercharger it says its for a 2.0L and I didn't know if I need another motor in order too do this mod or not.
Right now I'm looking into a eaton m62 supercharger and don't know what all I will need in order to do this mod.
and info would help.

Thank you

The S/C for the Ecotec has been discontinued.

Here is the PDF with a how to install, and part numbers if you want to hunt down all the parts.

Why did they do this? i was always curious. The motor is not very old at all. Is it a lack of demand?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-17800003/ they are still sold through summit racing

what i would if i could do it all over again
Get motor mounts for the the stock ones are horrible www.turbotechracing.com
then lower the car drive around for a while untill you can recover form the cost
get (light weight 17s) your bearings will thank you
after the wheels and tire get big brake kit for the front and if you got the funds do the rear too
then start with power adders
I bought my car in 05 new i then got the blower installed the extra power feels great but the stock brakes are down right scary some times and thats only with 200 hp. also the stock mounts are a pain in the ass because they move so much. i have a auto so i dont know witch clutch.
Im not sure what your goals are but if power is what looking for go with www.Hahnracecraft.com the have turbo system that is easy upgrade welcome to the jbody world

Sounds like good ideas.
I have always been a DSM tuners. Just sold my GSX a few months ago and picked up the Cavalier.
Over all, I want it too be at this point a good daily driver (work is only a 10min drive away) but I want more performance out of the car.
I'm looking into konig 17's along with full exhaust and new upgraded breaks all around.
I'm looking too build a engine over this next winter so I'm just trying too get a better idea of whats out there for these cars and what you can do to them.
Going from a GSX to a Cavalier like night and day. Just looking too have more fun driving around on a day to day.
Any more idea's would be great.
Thanks. Keep them coming.

As stated, Summitracing still has the SC, as well as GM, however with GM, you will likely need a good partsguys searching for one, one of my friends has one on order from them right now....

Or you can always search for one from a used S/C Ion, or cobalt.
As for what needs to be done for it work on the 2.2, there are how to's, likely the hardest thing to get after you have gotten all the parts from the list, is you will need a T/B adapter. Most have got one custom machined. However if you locate and buy the actual kit, they will come with one.
