So the 2.2l 2200 in the 2000 has got a rod thats knocking and i want to swap the engine which is the easiest without using the 2200 engine

to stay with a stock interior what electronics work with the gauges?
i want more power so i was thinking of the 2.4 what transmission do i need and are the axles the same?
i have very little ability for anything that involves programing a computer so what can be done to avoid passlock (if applicable)
If you go with the 2.4 you will need the 2.4 transmission. Same goes for the Ecotec.
Im sure either/or will take the same ammount of work. Your axles will work. Mounts can work.
And I
believe with the engine harness to either motor can be plugged in. Will need the computer too or reflashed.
just get a 3400, keep your tranny, get harness, ecu, and other things(search is your best friend), and call it a day, or do what craig said
