Hello, I was just wondering if there is a sensor located on the stock intake? Do you need to do something with that if you put on a short ram? Thanks

Yes there is, and yes you do.

It's an intake air temperature sensor. It must be installed on your short ram intake. Simply drill a hole in it (if there isn't already one) and use a grommet to ensure the IAT sensor stays in the pipe.

Or the poor man's way is to wrap the s**t out of the IAT with electrical tape until it holds....for those that are thinking of buying an eBay special intake. LoL.

the cheap as hell intake i bought off of ebay had a hole specifically for the IAT already on it, so all you have to do is buy one that has it.

The grommet that came with my intake fell apart, luckily not into the intake, so the sensor was always loose. I got a generic grommet at autozone and just trimmed it to fit. It fit the hole perfect, it was just a little too long for the sensor to stick all the way through. That might be something you want to think about also.
