I read the archives till my eyes went blurry so I decided to post this here...

I have a 97 Z24 and keep hearing about bank 1 and 2 O2 sensors. Isn't there only one O2 sensor on the exhaust man. (single purple wire)?

Also I have some Oil leaking at the bottom of the "V" (top of engine) by the plugs. Would this be a lower head gasket? Is there a gasket kit available and is it a pain in the A$$ to do with out a shop?

I would have to say since you asked if a gasket kit is available.........just take it to a shop.

you shouldnt be thinking BANK 1 and 2, but SENSOR 1 and 2. our cars only have one bank of cylinders, and thus, only one bank of o2 sensors. as for your leak, i wouldn't touch it without at least familiarizing yourself with the repair manual.
