hey so im kinda new here
i have this suspension question in my head but im not fully sure how to put it in to words so just bare with me here haha

so, atleast for the 05 sunfire, what is the suspension setup? is it struts and springs in the front, and springs with shocks in the back? and what are the differences between springs and shocks

and if i wanted to upgrade my stock suspension what do i need to know to lower it about 1.5 inches and have it been legit

They are coils on struts on all 4 corners.

Just BAG it.

Best of both worlds.

Just a little lower then the pictures posted above

That is if you want a noticable drop?

For what you want the best approach is the Eibach Pro Kit for springs and KYB AGX shocks. It is pretty inexpsive less than 700 new and is proper due to the shocks capability to be lowered 1.45 inches which is what the Pro Kit provides. The Eibach sportline springs offer a 2 inch drop which the AGX's can't handle you would have to go with koni Reds or yellows.

Suspension is important and don't cheap out for two reasons.
One a cheap suspension won't ride nice for long you will get clunking and a worse ride than stock.

Two your suspension is what will keep you on the rode so crappy parts that could break can't perform and hurt the geometry of the drive after wear will endanger you and others.

Do it right spend the cash learn about it and you won't regret it.

While you are at it you may want to check your mounts and if they need it replace them.

I accidentally the SHIFT LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
