Im new and don't feel like researching through a load of topics to find the answer for my question. A friend of mine has I believe its an 02 2 Door Purple Cavalier VLX. Now I know about the VL and I know about the RS and Z24 and Z22 but just how many different versions are there and what does all this VLX and stuff mean, My friends assume that VLX is for Vagina Licking X-Treme but thats just cause were funny. But now curiousness has brought me to find the real meaning of this mark. So please let me in on the meaning of these letterings and as to how many there are.
there is no such thing as a z22. I've never heard of a VLX ethier... are you in canada??
Did I mention I drive a 2000 Lumina now?-----wigm-tuners.org member
as the two posters above me said...
Z22 - dealer packege that was basically just some stickers that let them jack up the prices...
Z24 - "performance trim" if you will for the cavaliers... came with either the 2.3 quad 4 in 1995, the 2.4 from 1996 to 2002, or the 2.2 ecotec was introduced half way through 2002 then carried on till 2005 as the base engine for all the cavalier....
RS - rallysport... not 100% sure if there was anything special about them...
VL - was known as the " value leader" and died in 1994
VLX - if im not mistaken is just a Canadian thing... and is basically just a base model like the Z22
LS Sport - im not 100% sure on this... but i believe it was the american Z24... it got the 2.2 ecootec in 2002 also...
please correct me if im wrong on any of these... hope it helps a bit
