hello, an old (39 yrs old) newbie here. I have a 2000 Cav. and searched but didn't find any info suitable. I've had the car since new and since have to run it into the ground (or if the rust in Ohio takes it first) I was considering putting a stock z24 bumper cover on it for the fog lights if/when finances/other repairs allow . Will there be any problem switching the covers? I cannot find a decent driving/fog light that will fit in the original cover without cutting into the bumper cover. If switching the covers is possible, the only thing different I'd do is put a switch to control the lights, or would it be better to just run the lights to the low beam circuit?

I have put a Z24 bumper on my car (98 cav) the bumper should fit a 2000 with no issues unless you need to replace or trim the crush gaurd.
to wire just follow the diagram (borrowed from another thread, not my drawing)
the pic sucks, i borrowed one from on the site and edited it a little.. hopfully its still able to be understood...
there will be three wires in the back of the stock foglight switch, two of them stay in place.. when you hook up the harness they will power the led in the switch and ground it out..the third you run a longer wire to the relay.. that will turn the fogs on and off.. the good thing is the fogs will turn off when you turn your lights off so you wont forget them on..
you should be able to do it in about an hour or so if you have everything handy..
if i goofed up or missinformed at all im sure another member will get ya back on track
As long as you use a bumper from a 2000-2002 z24 it will work. 95-99 had bumpers will not fit due to the different headlights.
That blows, as I like how the front bumpers of the 95-99 Z24 has the tag space molded into the cover. I hate how my year and above have to have a bracket.
