Looking for a used engine to put in this car, What prices am i looking at?

99 sunfires never came with a 2.3, only 95 did

Unless someone swapped it in, it does not have a 2.3. If it has a 2.4, no you cannot just drop a 2.2 in with out modification. On top of that, it would be a downgrade.

No offense man, but you shouldnt have bought a car with a bad motor if you don't know what you're doing.
